WHO WE ARE:
The NAACP, or National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is an American civil rights organization founded in 1909 to promote political, educational, social, and economic equality for people of color and to end racial discrimination through democratic means. As the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization, it is widely recognized for challenging injustice, advancing landmark legal cases, and continuing to advocate for racial justice and equal rights. We peacefully stand together in support of justice and freedom for all citizens.

Our Mission
Our mission is dedicated to the pursuit of political, social, and equality for Black Americans. We uphold our foundational principles of fairness and inclusion, which are the fundamental rights of all citizens. The NAACP is committed to actively addressing current issues, including: 1) Criminal Justice Reform confronting mass incarceration and ensuring accountability within law enforcement, 2) Rights - fighting against voter suppression and gerrymandering, and 3) Economic Equity - tackling the racial wealth gap and advocating for equitable healthcare access.
